The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for sending all email communications to our audience including but not limited to: promotional, brand, lifecycle and operational sends. You have an in-depth understanding of how data is leveraged in an ESP for behavioral triggers, personalizing content in addition to segmentation for batch campaign sends. You’ll play a vital role in scoping and implementing technical requirements for strategic initiatives and provide the Product, Marketing and Engineering teams with tactical support where needed.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Support Product and Marketing teams with end-to-end execution of email set up in ESP, including list builds, scheduling, and QAing emails along with any other required configurations (ex. A/B testing)
- Create and implement testing strategies based on targeted customer cohorts and lifecycle flows with personalized content
- Analyze data to pull key insights for designated initiatives along with strategic recommendations for next steps and optimizations
- Oversee the health and deliverability of our IP addresses and mailing lists to optimize inbox rates
- Scope and implement ad hoc technical projects based on business needs
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to update email processes and functions to allow for more scalable and stable solutions.
- Create tasks in our project management system (Asana) with clear deliverables and turnaround times for copy/design
- Work with key stakeholders to get feedback and/or approvals where needed in time for deployment.
WE’RE IDEALLY SEEKING:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-3 years working in marketing or a related field, preferably email marketing
- Experience working with Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Postmark, or a similar ESP
- General understanding of email compliance regulations for the US (CAN-SPAM and CCPA) and International (GDPR and CASL)
- Proficient in Google Suite and Adobe Photoshop
- Track-record of driving growth from A/B Testing
- HTML skills are a plus. Knowledge of SMS is also a plus
- Experience with analytics tools, preferably Mixpanel
